Your best bet would be to find some cheap ones at a yard sale or something similar. You won’t find much fishing stuff for free…unless you have a friend who is looking to unload some excess gear.
What you are asking for is a miracle. There is one place I know of that gives away stuff for free but it really depends on if there are people in your area doing the same. It’s http://www.freecycle.org
You have to be a member (it’s free to join), look up your city, place a request and hope for the best. I’ve seen some great stuff given away, given up some stuff myself as well. Since it’s local, you pick it up…no shipping costs to deal with. I’m sure there are other sites that do the same, google and find them. ~good luck catchin’.
Inside a boat when the owner is not paying attention or maybe in Kevin Van Dam’s trash cans beside his house. We all dream of those boxes of fishing tackle falling off the Bass Pro Shops truck in front of our house but that is all it is, a pipe dream.
